Items are a way in which players can customize the performance of their ship. There are four types of items; Hull, Ammunition, Turrets and Medals. Hull items improve the basic characteristics of a ship, and players can use the items to increase the survivability or mobility of their ship; or do a bit of both. Ammunition items improve the ship's damage potential in various ways from improving range to increasing the chance to critically hit shields. Turrets change how the weapons on a ship work by adding special effects to every shot. Medals allow for the use of passive abilities, which are divided into four separate sub-categories.

In total, a ship can equip three hull, three ammunition, one turret and one medal per personnel category. Items are earned per ship type, so earning a turret on a corvette will not make it available for use on a frigate. You have to earn items for each ship type individually.

Items are earned by completing objectives in battlefields, or by completing conquest games. Participation in a conquest game will earn you one item of your choosing, while winning the conquest game will earn you two items.

With the exception of medals, items come in five quality levels: common (yellow), uncommon (green), rare (blue), epic (purple) and legendary (red). Medals are only available in veteran (blue), hero (purple) and legend (red) versions. The chance to earn an item of a particular quality level depends on the level (mark) of your ship.

Items may be "sold" for experience points. Yellow items sell for 200XP, Green items for 400XP, etc. Veteran's medals sell for 200XP, Hero's sell for 600XP, and Legendary sell for 1000XP.
